• Safety & Training Short - Lead Awareness - Administrative Controls

Objective: To introduce common administrative controls, including policies and procedures for employee training, housekeeping, employee rotation, and personal hygiene as well as other methods of reducing employee exposures

Because lead exposure is dangerous, your organization has administrative controls in place to help protect you. Refer to your organization’s written policies and procedures to see the specific administrative controls and follow them for your safety and the safety of others.

Administrative controls are secondary to engineering controls like substitution, isolation, and ventilation, which are preferred. Administrative controls are meant to supplement engineering controls and not replace them.
