    About Us

Marin Housing Authority ("MHA") is a public entity formed in 1952 to provide federally subsidized quality housing to low-income Marin County families.

Currently, MHA owns/manages six developments totaling 497 units of HUD Public Housing; and 2,100 Housing Choice Vouchers (HCV).

Partnering with government agencies offers vendors a range of benefits, including:

+ Steady & Reliable Work – Government projects provide consistent opportunities, often with renewable contracts.
+ Timely & Guaranteed Payments – Structured payment schedules ensure financial stability.
+ Competitive Pay – Many contracts offer strong compensation and reimbursement benefits.
+ Enhanced Credibility – Winning government contracts boosts reputation and opens doors to more opportunities.
+ Growth & Expansion – Secure larger projects and scale your business over time.
+ Long-Term Stability – Multi-year contracts provide ongoing business security.
+ Networking & Partnerships – Build connections with industry professionals and agencies.

MHA’s Procurement Department strives to support high-quality housing by making Government contracting easy, transparent, and legally compliant.
In addition to "de-legaleezing" our contracts, procurements, etc., we’ve partnered with Norcal APEX Accelerator (www.apexnorcal.org), a nonprofit that helps small businesses identify, bid on, and secure Government contracts. If you’re interested in Government contracting in general, Norcal APEX can help.
