    Overview of RTEBN:

    Rebuilding Together East Bay Network (RTEBN) is experiencing a period of rapid growth as it advances three core program areas:

    1. Workforce Development – Big Skills Program:Providing high school and college-age students with construction skills to create affordable housing units.
    2. Home Preservation and Electrification:Offering free home preservation services, creating junior ADUs, replacing major systems, and electrifying homes with energy-efficient modifications.
    3. Community Development:Collaborating with local jurisdictions to preserve and expand infrastructure for low-income residents and the general public.
    2025 Innovation Award Nomination and Campaign Goals

    In recognition of its groundbreaking work, RTEBN has been nominated for the prestigious 2025 East Bay Economic Development Agency's Innovation Award, which honors organizations driving transformative change in the region. This nomination highlights RTEBN’s innovative workforce development and electrification programs, underscoring their contributions to addressing housing, workforce, and environmental challenges in Marin, Contra Costa, and Alameda Counties.

    The three months between the announcement of the nomination and the award ceremony present a unique and critical opportunity for RTEBN to amplify its work. The agency seeks to strategically release a series of media assets that showcase its core achievements, including:
    • The success of its Big Skills Program in developing construction talent and affordable housing.
    • Milestones in home preservation and electrification that demonstrate equitable and sustainable community development.
    • Collaborative efforts in community development to strengthen infrastructure and provide housing stability for low-income residents.
    In addition to utilizing existing media assets, RTEBN plans to collect new content from ongoing and upcoming events and projects across Marin, Contra Costa, and Alameda Counties. This media campaign will support the agency’s mission by increasing visibility, strengthening partnerships, and positioning RTEBN as a regional leader in innovation.

    Project Scope and Timeline

    To execute this ambitious campaign, RTEBN seeks professional marketing and public relations support for a 10-hour-per-week commitment over three months (January to March 2025). Key responsibilities include:
    • Coordinating and managing media placements, including videos, social media content, newspaper articles, radio interviews, and earned media.
    • Developing talking points and messaging for leadership and staff.
    • Promoting and announcing 15+ partnerships with organizations involved in workforce development, affordable housing, and education.
    • Supporting and organizing events tied to the Innovation Award announcement and other key milestones.
    This professional will play a pivotal role in ensuring that RTEBN’s message is effectively communicated, leveraging its nomination to further elevate its profile and impact.

    Ideal Candidate Profile

    Experience:
    • 5+ years in marketing, public relations, or communications, preferably in nonprofit, housing, or workforce development sectors.
    • Demonstrated success in media relations, campaign execution, and stakeholder collaboration.
    Skills:
    • Exceptional organizational and project management abilities.
    • Proficiency in social media strategy, content creation, and earned media outreach.
    • Strong writing and communication skills for developing compelling messaging.
    Commitment:
    • 8 hours per week from January to March 2025, with flexibility for additional hours during major events or announcements.
